What is the rehoming process?
If you have seriously considered getting a ferret and have done all the research and got all of the equipment together then the next step is finding your new friend(s).
You should contact the rescue and we will have a chat about yourself what you are looking for and what we think would be best for you,
We would then like to do a homecheck so that we know that our ferrets are going to the best homes that can possibly be provided for them and to give you advice if it is needed.
You would then come to the rescue and meet the ferrets that we have available for rehoming. If you already have an exsisting ferret(s) and you would like to add to that group then you should bring them along with you so we can let them pick thier new friend.
If these are your first ferrets then we will see which you are confident with and which are confident with you.
You will then sign an adoption form. There is a rehoming fee of £30 a ferret as they have all been neutered before going to new homes unless they are kits then you will be expected to get them neutered when they are old enough.
Ferrets will only be homed in pairs or singley if they are going to live with exsisting ferrets.
There is sometimes the odd ferret that won't accept other ferrets so in this case they can be homed seperately.
